Art Tour & Sale 2012

Another year and we’re going strong.

This year is going to be great! Keep checking this site for information on all of the artists that will be participating this year and any news we have to pass along.

Well our first annual Carleton Place ART Tour & Sale is finished. It was a great day. The weather was beautiful, even without any snow and the artwork looked terrific and we didn’t have any major problems – just a few hiccups.

The Train Station ended up with 6 artists and it looked great! I just wish we could have left it set up for a while longer. During the day we had 2 local writers and 2 local musical performances which added to the ambiance. The CPHS band put on a Bake Sale to raise money for an upcoming band trip in the new year and they did really well.

We are having a get-together on Thursday, December 8 to discuss how all of the other venues faired and I will post the results.

Upcoming ART Tour & Sale 2011

Well, it’s Tuesday and the decorating at the Station is really looking great. We were all contributing yesterday to the beautification of the space by cleaning, decorating and planning the Station venue in preparation of the upcoming ART Tour & Sale. We have a terrific space – courtesy the generosity of the Town and soon it will be alive with beautiful works of art, music, poetry, delicious food offerings and festive and happy people.

Speaking of delicious food offerings – the Carleton Place High School Band is having a BAKE Sale at the Station as part of our event in order to raise money for a band trip next year. Plan to drop by and support our youth in this worthwhile project.

Look for updates on some of the other terrific venues taking part in this 1st Annual ART Tour & Sale.
